it'll be hard to find the jobs I want, but I hope to be back to work. unemployment is sucky for me. my mother's constant encouragement is not very helpful.

Yeah, I guess it really depends in what fase of your life you currently are. If you´ve already have workexperience it´s really though going back to being a full time student ( you´ll miss the cash)...

Yep, totally understandable. I´m also heavily dependent on my parents atm. I´m one year away from becoming a Petroleum Engineer. If it werent for my parents I´d probably be sucking d*ck in dark alleyways for money. Gotta pay for college some way or another...

that is absolutely true. there is one near me that says "own tools/equipment" best tools I got are Mastercraft tools, I just applied to see how it goes.

Tools are tools. We all have to work our way up. I went from a small three bay no name shop in the middle of nowhere to top diagnostic guy in a rover shop in a year. All because they didn't have that many applicants and they decided to take a chance on my well written cover letter and well-spoken interview skills. Because honestly, that's about all I had going for me. A couple years later I made the jump to Mercedes, after applying to a sister-BMW store of theirs. Never saw any of that coming. Good things happen if you work for them and don't piss too many people off.

Congrats and good luck! Remember, manners and appearance are everything in an interview. Your resumé says everything else, they now just need to see what you are like in person. I shit you not I've seen guys (veteran master techs) show up for interviews, at Mercedes, wearing holey jeans and Tapout hoodies. They hire inexperienced noobs instead and train them up, if they're professional and respectful.
